Malnutrition free India

Since 1991, India's GDP has increased by 50 percent. Despite this, one-third of the world's malnourished children live in India. In India, 44 percent of children below 5 years of age are underweight. 72 percent of infants and 52 percent of married women lack blood. The level of malnutrition in India is worse than the suburbs of Africa's Malnutrition sufferers.
reason
(1) One major cause of malnutrition in India is economic inequality. Both poor quality and quality of food are low.
(2) The effect of maternal malnutrition is found in newborn infants. As mentioned above, a large number of women are suffering from a lack of blood. The reason for this is that girls are to be married at a young age. Children are quick due to early marriage. In the absence of knowledge the gap between the children is kept low.
(3) About 11.5 million children in India are malnourished. But this figure does not affect public-general and policy-makers more. While paying attention to this in a labor-intensive country like India is very important.
Taking cognizance of the personal, social and economic losses suffered by malnutrition, the present Prime Minister, in his speech on August 15, kept the malnourished free India a central theme, and for this it has seen commitment from his government.
Effort
  • Need to work at the grassroots to get rid of the problem of malnutrition. Paying importance to this fact, the Prime Minister recently made 'dialogue' through video conferencing from Anganwadi and Asha workers. This was the first time that a prime minister had talked to these workers in this manner. Along with praising these workers for giving life and livelihood to the women and children at the lower level, they also announced the increase in their pay scale. Addressing three thousand representative workers in their name, the impact of this effort of the conversation will be on 34 million people.
  • The 'Nutrition Program' supported by the Prime Minister has been started, in which a majority of Chief Minister of BJP-ruled states was given an order to get involved. It is important to know that the problem of malnutrition is high in most of the North India.
  • By showing speed in this direction, the Commission has started working closely with UNICEF, Tata Trust, IFPRI and other organizations related to this area by making the 'nutrition' centric month centric.
  • The government has fixed annual targets to reduce malnutrition. Now it is time to make annual surveys done in six years of National Family Health Survey, which can be monitored for achieving the targets set. Since the data related to malnutrition is now being prepared at the district level, therefore, it can be made an issue in elections by highlighting it in every constituency.
The problem of malnutrition is in our own hands. There is a need to try that level, as if not done before. In the lifetime of each nation, such moments come in which, by redemption, he can make a long jump. This is the only chance for India.
