Clean India Mission

Modern has several top leaders in world history such announcements, which were seemingly impossible, but eventually became a reality. In 2014 the Indian Prime Minister in 2019 announced Sucmukt open seemed Work also seemed impossible. By improving the habit of 600 million Indians, preparing them for the construction of toilets was not an easy task. Today, only four years after this announcement, India is on the verge of being free from defecation.
Sometimes seen through a powerful show went commitment, sleep, and waking institutions before. This is what happened in Swachh Bharat Mission too. Toilets were not considered a necessity even after 67 years of India's independence, i.e. until 2014. Women seemed to need it, but there was no one to hear their voices.
After making its place in the world's fastest growing economies, India needs to raise the standard of living of its people, especially the rural masses. Cleanliness also matters a lot, along with the development of infrastructure in this journey. In the absence of toilets, the safety and dignity of women was at stake, it was also life-threatening for our babies and children. Many diseases spreading from this blocked children's development. This was affecting the productivity of the country, and we were unable to cash in on our democratic dividend.
  • India had set a budget of $ 20 billion for this huge expedition.
  • Scheduled castes, tribes, houses of women, houses for small and landless farmers, Rs. 12,000 for construction of toilets A total of 8.5 crore rupees was spent, contributing to the funds of Rs. 8.5 crore.
  • Over the past four years, over 500 million people left their habit of defecation in open.
  • In 2014, the percentage of cleanliness in rural areas was 39, which became 93 percent in 2018 due to Clean India Mission.
  • Due to investment in cleanliness in India, the World Health Organization has said that by 2019 India will be able to save 3 lakh lives till open completely from defecation.
In this direction, India is playing a leading role in the world. Many countries want to learn the tricks of India's experience and implementation policy. Between September 29 and October 2, 50 health ministers from different countries participated in the Mahatma Gandhi International Sanitation Convention. Through this conference, India has also learned from other countries about maintaining the goal of sanitation for a long time. This is the achievement of this mission.
